Milton is a city in King and Pierce counties in the U.S. state of Washington. The population was 6,968 at the 2010 census. Milton borders the larger but newer town of Edgewood.
Milton is located in northern Pierce County and southern King County at 47°14′54″N 122°19′3″W / 47.24833°N 122.31750°W (47.248208, -122.317376).
The Milton and Edgewood areas are known informally as North Hill. This contrasts subsequent to the South Hill Place on the opposite side of the Puyallup River valley.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total Place of 2.55 square miles (6.60 km2), of which 2.51 square miles (6.50 km2) are estate and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) are water.
