Shoreline is a city in King County, Washington, United States. It is located in the middle of the city limits of Seattle and the Snohomish County border, approximately 9 miles (14 km) north of Downtown Seattle. As of the 2010 census, the population of Shoreline was 53,007, making it the 20th largest city in the state; by 2019, the population had risen to an estimated 57,027. The Shoreline Place was inhabited by the Native American Duwamish people for at least 4,000 years back the first steadfast European settlers began platting the neighborhood of Richmond Beach, on Puget Sound, in 1890, in anticipation of the introduction of the Great Northern Railway the bordering year.
