Broad Form Quotes Frequently Asked Questions FAQs

What is a broad form insurance?

Broad form insurance has liability coverage but also can include uninsured motorist, and personal injury protection (PIP). It only covers losses if you are the driver of the auto. Comprehensive and collision coverages (aka Full Coverage) are not avalable to cover the vehicle you are driving.

Do you need car insurance if you have a drivers license?

If you have a license but don’t own a vehicle, you probably don’t need car insurance. The owner of the car is supposed to keep their car insured. If you want to protect yourself in case they do not have insurance that will cover while you are driving, you can buy a broad form policy.

What is the difference between non owner and broadform insurance?

Both insurance policies are Named Operator polices, meaning the policy only has to pay if the person named on the policy was driving. A Non-Owner policy, as the name implies, only is in force when non owned autos are being driven. Also, if you are driving a vehicle that you have regular access to, then coverage is excluded. A Broad Form policy is “broad” because it covers owned & non-owned vehicles without the restrictions.

Can I get insurance that covers meto drive any auto?

Yes! A BroadForm policy covers you to drive just about any auto or pickup while being used for personal use. It is perfect for people who own multiple autos and never let others borrow them or who owns no autos and wants to make sure they are covered while driving non-owned autos.

Will my insurance cover someone with a suspended license?

If you need insurance and your license is suspend, we can help! Click the Quote button to and let us find you some options. If you have insurance and are letting someone borrow your car who does not live with you and does not have regular access to your auto then yes, they are probably covered but it is safest to verify with your insurance agent.
